Slip into my dreams,

Than the beauty

You are breathtaking and yet I see

that bad boy appeal in your eyes

You have arms that I could lose myself in.

And drink from the cup

 of beauty that exists inside of you

And savor each moment

 with a melting sip of desire

We can explore our fantasy of flaming fires.

Darling can we ignite those stars,

Can we sail to our moon?

Love is not Blind

Love has its values; love has its grace,

Love is a moment; love has space,

You hold love in your heart filled with desire,

It’s for the one you care about,

 the one you admire.

Love is a distraction; love is a thought,

Love resides in your soul;

 love can be distraught,

Love can be foul at times,

especially when it’s not right,

Love is still love; it can be a struggle;

it can be a fight.

Yet beauty can be found in love’s blind eye,

Every emotion goes off,

they rocket to the sky,

Excitable love is love with much thought,

Trusting one’s care is far from being bought.

When true love comes along,

 the one you elect,

Your one true rose is the one

 you don’t forget,

Love can be hurtful,

whether it is right or wrong,

Love is strength; love is strong.

When you lose that love,

 it can be inconsolable to take,

Caring for a broken heart, is hard to mistake,

Yet love will lift you up in peace and in mind,

It is then that you realize; love is not blind.

Man of Honor

It is your sunrise my darling,

Sweet and golden, full of reflection to

celebrate your day,

The day we honor fathers,

You my love are the very examples

Of why we honor men like you.

You are the wisdom that makes sense,

You deliver the tools

to make dreams come true,

You now behold the tenderness

that you share,

It colors the world of our children and us.

You have been the knight

 in a child’s picture book,

You have been the hero to each of us

On more than one occasion,

You are never too busy

to stop and listen, or run that taxi,

And your words of love are

 gently spoken in each living day.

You have nurtured

 the very beauty in our daughter,

You have raised another

man’s child unconditionally,

You taught them to believe in themselves,

You gave them the lift to travel

 the road to success.

In my absence

you more than provided for them,

You educated them,

You held strong in our beliefs,

You did not speak my faults;

you spoke my love,

You provided every opportunity

 for each of us to heal.

You nurtured a love and bond in each of us,

You stood tall to light the way to our future,

You my sweet man are more than a father;

You are the very vision

of that man to be honored today.

Another Year with You

I think about how far we have come

 in terms with where we are,

Now relaxed in our conversations

as we share those tender moments,

The last twenty years have found us,

And I can see the change in each of us,

As we turn the corner,

I remember each time

I fell in love with you all over again

through those years,

Like the day the doctor

placed that living beauty

in our arms,

And you were by my side

for each moment of worry and every pain,

Today I still see that sparkle in your eyes

when she enters the room.

And I remember the night

 the angels came for me,

And how you never left my side

giving me the strength to fight

for one more day,

Today we are reminded by that lifeline,

And neither are bothered by its scars,

We have moved beyond

having learned to accept what will be.

I learned to trust you all over again,

Sharing with you that spring day,

And how you came to calm my fears

in the depth of those lost nights.

I could see the very love we once had

in your eyes, each time you looked my way,

Remembering that love and how you always

went out of your way to simply say,

I love you

Most importantly you truly understood

how very important it was for me

to pursue my dream of writing.

There is no doubt in my mind that you are

the center of my life,

The love in my heartbeat

and the one I know I can share

my deepest thoughts with.

Most would simply give up,

and walk away,

Yet in those growing moments for each of us,

I could see the very beauty

That exists in each living moment

we now share.

My sweet love you are always my king of hearts,

And we will celebrate those very years

As we relive our younger days,

Dancing in the arms of one another

As we take in the beauty

in that western sunset,

And simply enjoy the illumination

as twilight descends

With our own evening of stars,

The sweeping melodies that belong to us,

Play softly in the background

 as I share with you

the passion of my verse,

And softly whisper those sweet

everything’s

that make me blush.

As I simply look into your eyes

and deliver that sensual wink,

I’ll take that moment

 and ask God to bless me

With another year to spend with you.

Anniversaries

Can you describe the feelings

that wash over you?

When you hear the words

of the spoken, I love you?

As you take me in your arms,

I feel the soft-spoken words

touch the sensory of my soul.

The sparks of warmth exude from you,

Little electrodes that prick at my heart,

Much like the wax melting on a pillar,

You, take my breath away.

I see the soft glow

of the moonlight in your eyes,

You are the very delay

in the beginning of the day,

Those moments between us,

Are like the stars that pop

 in the depth of a blackened night.

After twenty years you still affect me,

With the softness of your voice,

The spark in your touch,

And the love that flows from you

completes me.

It makes every day an anniversary.

Darling

These days the mornings are truly short,

Rising just before the sun begins to peak,

I find it affords me with every opportunity,

And I can simply reflect

in the very still of the moment.

I have slipped from the warmth

of your arms,

Catching up on all

that has happened as we slept,

A smile crosses my lips,

As I watch you sleep

so content and so peacefully.

You are the amazing beauty in my life,

Always going out of your way so unselfishly,

You bring the brightness into every day,

Despite those grey spring mornings.

Returning to the industry of responsibility,

Promotes such great self esteem,

I know that the tasks I complete,

Indeed will place me one step

 forward in each new day.

I look forward to returning home,

Greeting you with a sweet smile,

Knowing that in those absent moments,

There is nothing, nothing but you,

in my every thought.

 Recipe For A Happy Life 

 
Take a couple of whole months,
clean them thoroughly of all Bitterness,
 Rumors, Hate and Jealousy;
in other words, make them as fresh and as clean as possible.

Now cut each month into 28, 30 or 31 different parts...

But don't make up the whole batch at once..
Instead prepare it One Day At A Time.
Mix well each day:

One part of Faith,
One of Patience,
One of Courage,
One of Work,
Add one part each of:

Hope,
Faithfulness,
Generosity
Kindness;
Blend with:

One part Prayer,
One part Meditation
Good Deeds.
Season the whole with:

a dash of Good Spirit,
a sprinkle of Fun,
a pinch of Play
a cupful of Good Humor.
Pour all of this into a Vessel Of Love,

Cook thoroughly over Radiant Joy

Garnish with Smiles
serve with Quietness,
Unselfishness and Cheerfulness
And you are bound to have a Happy Life.
