A Touch
of Yesterday
I look
at your old photograph,
and I
see your smile,
I can
feel your presence anew,
Filled
by the warmth,
And my
heart remembers your love.
I
remember who you used to be,
Along
with the laughter that we shared,
And I
wonder what you have become,
Where
are you now, and where did you go?
You
left the body behind,
releasing your spirit to fly.
I like
to think that you are
the
morning bird singing at sunrise,
Or that
butterfly that dances
so
carelessly on the breeze.
You
could be the fingers of the afternoon mist
delicately
reaching over the mountains,
Perhaps
you are that rainbow
that
colors and brightens the stormy sky.
I like
to think that you are
the
final few rays of the setting Sun,
Lighting up our afternoon skies,
Or are
you edging the clouds
with
your magical glow?
I miss
you, but I feel your presence,
In
whatever form you have chosen to take,
However
you now choose to be.
Your
spirit has become
a
guardian angel on high,
I know
that you as well,
are
advising and watching over us.
I will
always remember you with love,
You
will always be our Georgie,
You
lived in our yesterdays,
and you
will live on in each of our tomorrow’s.

Forever

I Didn't
Realize
Throughout
the years,
you were
always there.
Throughout
the years,
You were
more than just a family member.
Throughout
the years,
you were a
constant in my life.
I didn't
realize,
that one day
you would be gone.
Throughout
the years,
you were
there to answer all my questions.
I didn't
realize,
that there
would still be questions.
Throughout
the years,
you were a
true friend.
I didn't
realize,
that
friendships do last forever.
Throughout
the years,
my Uncle you
will always be.
I didn't
realize,
that i would
miss you so much.
Throughout
the years
you showed
me it was safe to be who you are.
I didn't
realize,
that it was
you who helped make me who I am.
Throughout
the years,
we shared
life, when we couldn't share it with anyone else.
I didn't
realize,
that one day
I would walk this path alone.
I didn't
realize!
Dedicated to
my Uncle George.
My Friend,
My Confidant, My Uncle.
I will miss
you.
Love your
Nephew
