Sonnets
In the Name of the Father
The child is swaddled in antique lace,
Sleeps softly in the arms of her mother;
the priest anoints the child in holy water,
Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost, name of thy father.
The cross bearing Christ adorns an alter,
Long tapered candles placed on silver stem,
Confession spoken by those who falter,
the child is received, now Gods newest gem.
Sweet baby, sweet Jesus, bring faith to them,
Divine elders to lead you on your way,
Promises shelter you, God’s newest gem,
Today’s your day with a cry, yes you say.
Thy swaddled child has now been blessed we see,
before elders her soul blends unto thee.

Sonnet #65
Blue
Glass Oak Tree
The myth would be told in
that long tale,
Where he came upon his own
wings to soar,
All moments in which his
faerie would sail,
He came to rest by the
ones to adore.
He spent many a night
grooming them right,
Soaring as he made them
giggle and blush,
Listening as they carried
on all night,
Dancing like the lilies in
the brush.
As you recall all those
little beings,
Your heart may ache and
your eyes will not clear,
Reduced to thoughts of
faerie and things,
A man on his knees sheds a
lonely tear.
Why did the fairies leave
that rainy day?
For in myths as dreams,
the light fades away.

You Were Once Mine Forever Sunset
Sweet love for thine sunset forever lives
It will often be said love lines thy soul
As the sun brings spring new love it does give
It takes love to grow love in thine heart whole.
Melted layers caress thine open sky
Orange yellow release thy heaven for thee
cascading to awaken thy mind's eye
Sunset continues you’re a sight to see.
As you flash on thine evenings twilight breeze
Soft scorched dusk drawing thy blanket over day
You play hide and seek from the top of trees
Tonight thine heavens have a lot to say.
Thine heavens bless us a moment in time
I will forever know that you, were once mine.
A Lady Forever
