The Ladies of
Arlington
Each and every
day the women of
Arlington
gather,
Each one
determined to
make the most of
their day,
Not a day goes
by they do not
greet one
another,
Each one has
their defining
strength and
their own
personality.

They are hard
working women,
showing their
signs of age,
Yet each one
displays the
exquisiteness in
their loving
soul,
They share a
smile with one
another,
They share the
compassion born
in their hearts.

Each has their
own
tribulations,
Yet they face
each opposition
with great
grandeur,
Offering up a
shoulder to lean
on,
And words of
sincerity and
belief are their
gifts to one
another.

Two of them are
married with
growing
families,
One of them
struggles to
care for hers,
The remaining
one keeps her
relationship to
herself,
Yet they can
each relate to
one another.

Sharing a cup of
coffee is the
familiarity
among two,
Tea soothes the
others,
Each bring to
the table their
own specialty,
And yet sharing
is as common as
the sun rising.

Between them
they share a
couple of
centuries plus,
Collective
knowledge to
pass on,
Compassion to
allocate to the
future,
They have one
exceptional
factor;
their
differences have
brought them
together.

Yes, the ladies
of Arlington are unique,
Each will have
been better for
simply knowing
one another.
Each of them
know,
Trust once
pawned can never
be redeemed.
