A Breath of Spring

Spring brings with it an abundance of beauty in color,
Flowers that have been dormant throughout the winter begin to bloom,
The greenery returns to the trees,
And the birds begin their incessant chatter.

Spring showers continue to litter upon the earth,
Winter was not to a certain extent ready to let go,
Yet it won't be long before summer begins to creep in upon us.
We will once again soon be wishing for the old man's yesterdays.

The pure blue sky offers an abundance of white wispy clouds,
Dancing to the beat of the wind,
Slow moving at times,  as if caught in a pose,
They change their shapes and size right through the day.

The birds have begun their own symphony,
They keep time with the slow movement of the wind,
Occasionally I can hear that wind sigh,
Almost like a breathless whisper.

Spring brings the blossoms in the gardens,
Fresh strawberries begin to appear,
Vegetables begin to thrive in that spring sun,
It gives each of us the time to embrace our outdoor surroundings.

Picnics in the park once again take center stage,
Long walks celebrate the beauty of the day once again,
Lovers walk hand in hand as the day gives way to twilight,
Awaiting that romantic moment of a spring sunset.

The sunsets are breathtaking on a spring evening,
The evenings color meld into one another,
Bringing the twilight into view,
Gracing the beauty of the sky with sparkling starlight.

Yes, spring is here,
Along with it, all the beauty nature has to offer.
How could one not love this special season?
I couldn't begin to think of one answer to that.

A Lady Forever
