Tragedy

Each and every one of us

seem to walk through life

blinded and cynical.

Until tragedy happens.

Why do we not realize that

life is precious?

Why do we not realize that

life is worth more than death?

With the tragedies happening

around us, why aren't we

courageous all the time.

Why do we wait for Tragedy?

Life is simple and understated.

Why can't we be?

Why must we wait for tragedy

for us to show compassion to our fellow man?

It saddens me, when I see innocent

men and women suffer.

Why should it take a tragedy

for us to get involved?

With another shooting,

I am forced to ask myself

Why another must parish?

Why another Tragedy?

With all the disease,

and all the despair,

and all the lives lost,

When will we begin the healing?

As life catapults us forward,

Remember those lost.

Never forget the loved ones.

And Lets all bring peace to the world.
